A Gemini rep at NAMM assured me that MIDI controllers are the way of the future in DJing. Whether or not that’s the case, it’ll be interesting to see what impact the newest controllers from Gemini will have on the market. After my love affair with the Gemini CDJ-700, I was intrigued by their newest offerings.
The new Gemini SLATE features many of the common features found on today’s hottest controllers, most notably RGB pads (thank you, Traktor Kontrol F1, for bringing about controllerism’s latest fetish). Coming in two-channel and four-channel varieties, the SLATE offers flexibility and portability to the beginning DJ.
