Tiesto Teams Up with Tap Tap Revenge for Promoting Latest ‘Club Life’ Disc

For smart phone users and EDM fans, Tap Tap Revenge just might be the perfect app. Aside from being, what Tap Tap Revenge calls, “our biggest, baddest, most mind-blowing version yet
[…] [and] the most addictive, adrenaline filled game on the App Store,” Tap Tap Revenge 4 is now being used to promote Tiesto’s upcoming compilation disc Club Life: Volume Two Miami. But, their collaboration isn’t simply a bunch of lame 30-second clips combined with a game. Instead, this free app has featured three new Tiesto tracks over the past week.
Tap Tap Revenge and Tiesto’s teaming up is the first of its kind for integrated music promotion. Over the past week, the app allowed players to hear “Maximal Crazy” and Tiesto and Wolfgang Gartner’s “We Own The Night feat. Luciana,” and yesterday, “Chasing Summers” was the third track posted. Aside from tapping along with the track, players can submit questions to Tiesto, and the Dutch DJ’s answers are posted when the next track is added. All answers are additionally added to Tap Tap Revenge’s Facebook page. In case you think Tiesto is giving simple responses, he wrote, in reply to question “From where do you get the inspiration to do your music?”: “I don’t think my sound has been shaped by any one trend. I’ve just always felt that it is really important for my style to evolve over time and to allow myself to be inspired by what’s around me, from the music to the places and people.”
Tap Tap Revenge brings in a regular stream of hits for its music rhythm games, including songs by Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, Coldplay, Bruno Mars, Nicki Minaj, Katy Perry, and Metallica. Tap Tap Revenge 4 additionally lets users “like” any track, challenge others who also “like” it, and see scores and points in the Game Center; has an Arcade Mode and letterboards with the latest scores, and offers a new look with brand-new graphics and interface. Users with this app can compete against 15 million other players, a new free track is available weekly.
